Caron Sprake

Award-winning eldercare blogger

Caron Sprake is the award-winning eldercare blogger with, Devon Life care columnist, Points of Light recipient, and care campaigner – in her spare time.

During the day, Caron returned to the coal face of social care this year working full-time in a care home as an assistant manager. You can’t keep a good carer away.

Passionately driven to make a difference to the face of social care, Caron recently met Sarah Gravenstede, deputy director of strategy in the department of Health and Social Care to discuss some unique ideas to  help resolve issues involved in the current crisis.

Caron was also one of five women to be featured in the Mail on Sunday ‘YOU’ magazine as an inspiring woman aged over 50!

Keen to recruit more employees into the care sector, retain good carers and help people realise just how amazing it is to care for our elderly people, Caron uses social media to spread the word.

I am delighted to have been asked to be a Judge at these awards and look forward to meeting nominees.

Caron will be judging: End of Life Award, NHS Award, Support Worker of the Year
